We are a family owned & operated company that started in 1972 as a farm equipment business.  Out of that, Schmidt Boat Lifts & Docks was created to fulfill a need for waterfront equipment in the area.  From the first boat lift we manufactured, to providing a full line of equipment & services, Schmidt Boat Lifts & Docks has evolved & will continue to adapt to meet our customers' needs.

Schmidt Boat Lifts & Docks provides a variety of waterfront services. Having the proper tools for this specialized type of work allows us to do things that others cannot.  We have a fleet of trucks & trailers of all sizes that allow us to get almost anywhere with your equipment. 

 

Schmidt Boat Lifts & Docks has 3 boats with winches & ramp systems.  We also have 3 portable barges with up to a 52’ boom reach.  Our barges are the perfect size; small enough to be transportable, yet big enough to drive pilings.  Our barges are great for boat lift, dock, raft, buoy, railway & other shoreline equipment installations & removals. They are also good for marine recovery, equipment transportation, & shoreline work including seawalls & rip rap.  Ours was the first barge of its kind in the area.
